I was out on my routine hike through the cedar swamp when I listened to this one and it was like magic! Just as you start talking about the mayflies they started landing on me by the dozens! I couldn’t help but smile from ear to ear! Although I don’t fly fish (yet) my dad and I were visiting and I told him about the experience. It encouraged him to get out and do some broom fishing and he has been just tickled with himself. 🥰
If you're ever up this way I can teach you! I am building a little beginner kit for a friend (little tenkara rod, altoids tin of flies/nipper/knot instructions, and some line and leaders! It's so easy to know enough to get started!
