Amen, Sister! I LOVE these essays you've been doing lately. They are about "little" things, but they hold such big truths. Thanks, Jenna!

I think the part about life being so unrelentingly busy is key. We’ve all been convinced that busy-ness = life, which obviously couldn’t be more untrue. If you’re too busy to water a plant or text your friend on their birthday, you need to take a hard look at your priorities.

Thanks for this essay, Jenna. I’m at 13 house plants and counting.

That was a beautiful testimony to gardening, and the joy of seeing plant life grow. Thanks for sharing. ✌️❤️🕯️ and 👽

I love plants....but also know my limits. If they need water more or less than once a week, we are not a good match. I also might steal that prompt for my Hinge profile...

I have a note where I keep particularly evocative phrasings, collections of words that just sort of make me gasp upon reading them. Your writing comes up a LOT -- "It's a surrender to rot," indeed. Thanks for this!!

(Another phrasing in the note: "Let's fucking go. God hates a coward." I think about this line on a daily basis.)
