If you're curious about the wasps, the next morning I walked out to the barn before sunrise and clamped a carabiner with 30ft of rope to one of the buckles on the wasp-nest horse blanket. Then I walked to the end of my rope and ran like hell, whipping the blanket out of the barn and exploding the nest! There were A LOT of angry bugs but they're thwarted and I didn't get one sting. It was a good weekend.

Jenna -- what a saga! Excellent. I could really feel you sweating and being about to have a melt down! I think to myself , " but it makes no difference that you're a lesbian -- that guy was being his gentleman self and really knew he had to help." Perhaps he even wanted to. And I think most people would. But I'm so glad you told the story. Anyone could relate and be happy for you. A lesson learned indeed.

Oh the lesbian mention was because the contrast of division in the country, that queer people are left and cops are right, and if you don't know anything about me (that's how I write every essay) folks see that dichotomy. But I take what you mean. You guys know me so well repeating facts or character traits is repetitive and confusing, but that is why! I would want this to make sense in like, a magazine.

Thank goodness, you got them back without any more trouble than you had. I know it was a panicky situation. I grew up on a farm and have spent more time than I want to remember trying to get pigs to go where we wanted them to go. Never fun. And I am sure sorry about those wasps, I read somewhere you can put a blown up brown paper bag out and then they think there’s one there already and won’t make a nest. Just a thought. Best of luck!

So enjoyed this podcast! I could totally relate to this experience growing up with lots of livestock. I'll never forget being a 16 year old and doing a little sunbathing in the backyard, opening my eyes and seeing a handful of heifers a few feet away, checking out my tan! You never know what will happen on a farm!
